JWA is an architectural consultancy established in 2012 and offers services spanning three main areas of architectural practice.

The first area is providing advice to design and architectural practices on the operational and financial aspects of running an architect’s office. This ranges from providing process efficiency and quality audits to tracking project profitability including advising on fee proposals, contracts and other commercial arrangements, as well as reviews of office organisational structure, marketing and staff performance.  Clients have included Hayatsu Architects, Tuckey Design Studio, Mangera Yvars Architects and Hugo Hardy Architects.   

JWA also collaborate in joint ventures with other architect’s studios in providing architectural project services ranging from feasibility studies, design proposals, tender and construction information, and contract administration.  This experience is supported by JWA having recently been accredited by the PassivHaus Institute as Certified PasivHaus Designer.  JWA frequently update its knowledge in the quickly developing fields of sustainable construction and innovations. For example, biophilic design and the use of organic materials such as Mycelium in construction products.

The third aspect is a specialism in construction disputes and dispute resolution. JWA have acted on behalf of private house owners, business owners, contractors, architects and insurers providing expert advice, forensic analysis and expert witness services. Coupled with this is forensic analysis of technical issues and preparing expert reports to provide strategies for quick resolution.
